Week in Review December 5-December 9

I really don't have many pictures for this week. We decided to take a little break and just do MFW K for the middle two, math and reading for Caroline, and focus on doing a fun Christmas unit study so we decided to do the Christmas lapbook from A Journey Through Learning among some other things I already had.

The middle two are working on learning U (U-U-Us) so in addition to the letter sound, we've also learned about the senses and a little bit about the human body. It's been a fun week!

In our Christmas unit study we have done some logic puzzles including a Christmas picture Sudoku, picture puzzles for the middle two, learned the history of gingerbread men and the advent calender, and discussed family traditions. Caroline has also started making a book doing copywork from A Visit From St. Nick and illustrating it. She has been really creative with her illustrations.

The kids (and Sam, my parents' dog) doing their advent calender.

This has nothing to do with school, but I love how sweet these two are together.
